NODE Robotics announces partnership with SHERPA Mobile Robotics

Stuttgart, Baden-Wuerttemberg. NODE Robotics is pleased to announce a new partnership with SHERPA Mobile Robotics (SMR), one of Europe's leading providers of mobile robotics solutions. This collaboration aims to combine the cutting-edge technologies of both companies and deliver innovative solutions for mobile and collaborative robots.

SHERPA Mobile Robotics (SMR) specializes in creating innovative solutions through the development, production, and distribution of its SHERPA® series of mobile and collaborative autonomous mobile robots (AMR). By seamlessly incorporating both follow-me capabilities and autonomous functionalities, SMR transforms the way transfers are automated and workflows are managed.

Catering specifically to the manufacturing and logistics/e-commerce sectors, the company has established a strong presence within the European market. SMR is dedicated to enhancing operational efficiency and optimizing processes for businesses looking to thrive in today’s fast-paced environment.

Stefan Doerr, CEO of NODE Robotics, said on the partnership:
“We're proud to collaborate with an innovative entity like SHERPA. This partnership stands as a testament to our shared mindset that only through strong partnerships can we create competitive and sustainable solutions to propel the mobile robotics sector forward.”

Through the strategic partnership with NODE Robotics, SMR integrates its in-house solutions with NODE's modules for localization, navigation, and fleet management. This collaboration improves SMR's performance as efficiency and offers a more streamlined and more seamless user experience in mobile robotics.

Localization challenges are common in constantly changing environments like warehouses and production areas. Using NODE's Live SLAM technology, which provides dynamic map updates, SHERPA aims to attain an unparalleled level of reliability, even in the most unpredictable and fast-paced settings.

The decision to partner with NODE Robotics was guided by their technical readiness and transparent communication. SHERPA was particularly impressed by the plug-and-play nature of NODE's software and the rapidity of its implementation process. During the entire implementation phase, there was a deep and collaborative engagement between both teams, guaranteeing a seamless integration of NODE's technology into SMR's robotic systems.

Stéphane Sandner, CEO of SHERPA Mobile Robotics added:
“From our initial discussions to the delivery of our inaugural joint project, we've been profoundly impressed by the efficiency and transparency of our collaboration with NODE Robotics. At SHERPA Mobile Robotics, we firmly believe in the principle that 1+1 equals 3, and this partnership allows us to collectively achieve greater heights.”

SHERPA and NODE already have projects underway and plan to scale together incrementally in the future.
