NODE Robotics and 4am Robotics sign a cooperation agreement

Various autonomous mobile robots - one software solution: NODE Robotics and 4am Robotics sign a cooperation agreement

Stuttgart, Baden-Wuerttemberg. 4am Robotics – the new AMR brand of Schiller Automatisierungstechnik GmbH and Mojin Robotics GmbH – is a German expert in the development, manufacture and support of flexible intralogistics solutions. The product portfolio of the experienced automation specialists has evolved from pure automation of standard route trains to a fully autonomous and application-specific mobile vehicle fleet. NODE Robotics is a German company providing state-of-the-art robotic navigation and fleet management systems for all types of AMRs and mixed manufacturer fleets.

Ulrich Reiser, CEO of 4am Robotics, comments: “Providing a heterogeneous portfolio of mobile robotics solutions is challenging. Therefore, we were looking for a software solution capable of handling this complexity. With NODE we found the perfect partner, as their solution can support our entire fleet of vehicles in all our use cases. Not only can it reduce complexity, but we can also rely on the software for system integration and testing.”

Peter Stoiber, also CEO of 4am Robotics, adds: “Thanks to NODE, we can now set up new applications in a matter of hours instead of days because the interfaces are so easy to use. NODE approached us with the claim to let any robot navigate autonomously with a software solution – and they kept their word!”

After initial meetings and lab tests, the collaboration has already been tested in practice. At a major German car manufacturer, the autonomous route trains were deployed with the new navigation software and tested on site. The solution was able to go live without requiring any changes to the infrastructure or environment. A real breakthrough in terms of automation success story.

Stefan Dörr, CEO of NODE Robotics, comments: “With their new brand 4am Robotics, Schiller Automatisierungstechnik and Mojin Robotics combine the two most important success factors for this sector: industrially proven and highly reliable vehicle automation solutions in combination with innovative approaches and the development of new use cases – while most players in this field usually only offer one of each. This makes 4am Robotics the perfect partner for our common vision: to develop AMR into a standard tool in intralogistics accessible to all.”

About NODE Robotics

Flexibility and autonomy are core requirements for the factory of the future. In the field of intralogistics, Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) are the key to meeting these. However, the current patchwork of incompatible and inadequate software solutions for AMRs on the market prevents the spread of this key technology and puts fleet operators further into vendor lock in situations.
NODE.OS, an end-to-end software solution for operating multi-vendor and heterogeneous AMR fleets with high autonomy and minimal commissioning efforts, can be seamlessly integrated into every production plant.
