Stuttgart, Germany & Taipei, Taiwan. NODE Robotics and Advantech have entered a partnership to provide seamlessly integrated autonomy solutions for autonomous mobile robot (AMR) manufacturers. By combining Advantech’s industrial-grade AMR controllers with NODE Robotics’ autonomy platform NODE.OS, designed for compatibility with Advantech hardware, AMR builders gain access to a ready-to-deploy solution that simplifies development, enhances performance, and ensures seamless interoperability.
Miller Chang, President of Advantech’s Embedded IoT Group, states: “Advantech is thrilled to partner with NODE Robotics to speed up AMR deployment. With NODE.OS and Advantech's proven computing, sensing and AI solutions, AMR builders and site owners will benefit from optimal and integrated solution that fit in various use cases.”
Dr. Stefan Doerr-Laukien, CEO & Co-Founder of NODE Robotics comments on the announcement: “Advantech’s robust portfolio of customizable hardware and controllers is an ideal fit for our agnostic autonomy stack, NODE.OS. This partnership enables our customers to choose from tailored hardware and software bundles, further simplifying mobile robot development and deployment. We are excited to start this collaboration.”
Pre-integrated hardware and software for AMR developers
NODE Robotics provides reliable, robust, and scalable mobile robot software for localization, navigation, and fleet management. Advantech brings its expertise in high-performance embedded computing, real-time processing, and industrial IoT connectivity, offering AMR builders a robust hardware platform tailored for demanding logistics and production environments.
As part of this partnership, NODE.OS is designed especially for compatibility with Advantech’s AFE-R series AMR controllers, including the AFE-R360 (Intel Core Ultra) and the new AFE-R750 (NVIDIA AGX), among other purposedly-built controllers that come in with multiple computing platforms and form factors. These controllers offer powerful real-time computing, high-resolution perception capabilities, and advanced safety features through MIPI-CSI and GMSL camera support. This integration results in a modular, high-performance AMR platform that enables builders to integrate autonomy software with optimized hardware, reducing complexity and accelerating time-to-market for their robotic systems.
The partnership tackles key challenges in AMR development, ensuring seamless interoperability across diverse mobile robot models, advanced path planning and traffic coordination for large-scale deployments, and enhanced perception for reliable navigation in dynamic environments. Designed to be highly adaptable, the solution features real-time mapping and flexible routing, enabling manufacturers to efficiently respond to evolving warehouse and production layouts while ensuring future-proof automation.
Provide AMR builders with a scalable and future-proof solution
With this partnership, NODE Robotics and Advantech are delivering a standardized yet flexible solution for mobile robot manufacturers, making it easier for builders to integrate robust autonomy into their robotic platforms. By ensuring that NODE.OS is designed for compatibility with Advantech’s AMR controllers, the collaboration provides a pre-configured and optimized stack that reduces development complexity and deployment risks. The two companies are also working on co-developing next-gen AMR controllers, refining hardware-software compatibility to further enhance performance and reliability. Beyond hardware integration, the partnership will expand support for additional industrial automation applications and strengthen interoperability across diverse AMR fleets. By combining industrial-grade computing with software-driven autonomy, NODE Robotics and Advantech are aiming for a new benchmark in mobile robot performance, scalability, and ease of deployment.
Robot builders looking to streamline their AMR development and benefit from a solution designed for compatibility with Advantech's controllers are invited to explore collaboration opportunities with NODE Robotics and Advantech.
